After being part of a highly successful clinic in Carlow, one of the dentists of this team has decided to open his own surgery right here in Drogheda.
Southgate Dental is a state of the art dental clinic at Southgate Shopping Centre in the heart of Drogheda. Although we are a new clinic, collectively the staff have been providing calm, professional, cost effective dental care for over 30 years. The clinic provides a full spectrum of dental treatments, from your annual check up and clean to Implants and Orthodontics. Now you don’t have to travel to Europe for the benefits and low costs, as it is all available in our newly designed Clinic at Southgate. We can meet all your dental requirements, with experienced staff, who care passionately about the service they are providing you.
Dr. Antal Roka, who established Southgate Dental, is our principal dentist. He is registered with the Irish Dental council as a general dentist, but also as a Specialist Oral Surgeon. With his knowledge and expertise we are delighted to be able to offer a range of specialised surgical treatments including wisdom teeth extractions and Implantology using both world leading quality implant systems as Nobel or Ankylos. Dr. Roka has been living happily with his family in Ireland for many years and has been treating patients nationwide, with excellent aesthetic results.
Our aim at Southgate Dental is to build a friendly, professional and accessible dental clinic. One in which our patients feel both calm and reassured. With flexibility, customer care, accessible facilities and well established experienced dental professionals, we feel that we can offer patients unrivalled dental treatments, with prices that the wont upset the bank manager and which don’t require booking flights and travelling abroad.
We would like to show patients, whom due to economic downturns & PRSI changes etc, have begun to think of Dental Care as a luxury instead of the necessity that it is. We would also like to work, in conjunction with other local dentists to provide specialist care, such as Oral surgery & Orthodontics, which maybe they are unable to offer at their clinics.
We have a CT Scan on site (required for successful Implant procedures). We are one of only 11 clinics in Ireland who can provide this service without hospital referral. We would like to encourage other dentists/specialists in the area to avail of this facility as their own. This will help to keep costs down for patients & also speed up treatment for dentists, with little or no waiting time.
We at Southgate Dental believe that dental care in Ireland has suffered greatly and become somewhat neglected, due to varying factors, but mainly cost. Dental Tourism has taken a large chunk out of an already steadily decreasing market. Some patients are no longer attending their local clinics, because of more affordable treatments abroad. Although while this is true, we would encourage everyone thinking of doing this to research it thoroughly, as it does have its downfalls, particularly for any patients who experience difficulties post treatment.
At Southgate Dental we want to provide patients with excellent treatments & services and a feeling of security & accessibility. In our opinion this reassurance can only come from attending a clinic close to home, with easy access in the event of an emergency. We don’t like to use the words affordable or cheap, as in our opinion this gives a sense of cutting corners or substandard treatments and we pride ourselves on providing the best possible standard of care to all our patients.
All our staff are registered, highly trained, motivated and professional and believe that dental care should not be a matter of cost. However that being said we are aware that, although most people want to look after their teeth and or improve their smile, they are just not financially in a position to do so. So it is for that reason that we would like to help you and your family to maintain good oral hygiene and a strong dental regime, with prices that we feel are competitive & manageable. We will also provide loyalty schemes & discounts for frequent loyal patients and there are payment options available on certain treatments, like Orthodontics
